I have set this forum up to help members of Middlehammer Group to follow more long term projects and blogs, we have over time decided that FB isnt productive for such things! So hopefully we see some excellent solo and community projects! To see more of what I do hobby wise follow this link! Some of my hobby nonsense! So now it over too you! Welcome to the forum and introduce yourself!

I'm terrible at this part. Can't I just run my mouth off and annoy people until someone from Facebook puts two and two together?
Oh, all right. I'm Jon, I used to be Von on the Warhammer Forum and Carpe Noctem and a few other places (Blood Keep, Da Waaagh, maybe Bolter and Chainsword? I forget), I've run a blog for the best part of ten years, and played Vampire Counts for as long as there have been Vampire Counts to play because I'm a big goth and nothing if not predictable.
I've also done Chaos Warriors (three times), Orcs and Goblins (twice), Dark Elves (by accident), Lizardmen (for a whole week), and run a lot of Warhammer Fantasy Role Play (second edition's the best but first had Sold Down The River, the best city book for any RPG ever, and on that hill I am prepared to die).
I started out with 40K (Orks three times, Chaos three times, Dark Eldar twice, Necrons for a while) but it's the sword and board stuff that really gets me going these days. I do have a small Night Lords warband but it's barely playable under any edition of the rules - more of a display piece really.
I like building models and playing games: the bit in the middle is honestly more of an obligation than anything, and I don't enjoy painting enough to try very hard except on the occasional model that really catches my fancy.

I'm Sam. I'm an idiot who thinks he's funny. I haven't had a blog in a long time.
Been a gamer since the Forest of Doom in about '85ish. I've collected WHFB more than I've played (there's not many armies I've not owned at some point or another), I played 40k from Rogue Trader until 5th killed my interest in playing 40k (again, I've got many armies), and gone through most of the Specialist Games. I've done a bit of RPG, a lot of CCG in the latter '90s, computer games, Warmachine/Hordes, Flames of War, and a lot of other wargames. I used to tournament a fair bit, but am more of a casual player and a painter these days.
I get paid to write code, dick around with databases, and swear at javascript. I used to get paid to write code, and dick around with the database, at Maelstrom Games.
Currently painting goblins and squigs, have Easterlings built and ready to paint, and am happily turning out random 7TV casts, as that's what I'm playing most at present.

Name's Greg, been at warhammer since around '99 starting with 40k and moved into fantasy by 2001/2. I have played basically every army in that time, and what I havent played I have at least attempted to collect probably. My first love will always be Skaven but I'm currently working on a SoC Middenland list having recently ended up with everything I need to make that happen.
Currently I'm trying to get 3 younger guys into 6th Ed after having corrupted them into a love of the hobby in its current forms. More on that as it develops, but 1 game in so far.

Hello, I'm Tom I've probably only played a couple of games, back as a kid. Now, many years later I've actually collected, stripped and painted the dwarf army I coveted all those years ago, and I have collected and stripped two more which are waiting for paint (o&g and their masters, the chaos dwarfs). Hopefully this forum will inspire me to actually paint them!

Greetings! My name is Marek, I've started playing/collecting around 20 years ago. I've been most active during the V-VII WFB editions period, now I just buy something from time to time, and much more rarely paint something. The sad part is that I stripped most of what I painted in the past (obviously to repaint it to a higher standard) and now I have few thousand unpainted minis:/ Guess this isn't an uncommon situation among other old/middlehammer fans... I am also looking for an external source of motivation, to paint more and think this forum has this potential:)

Hello! I'm Patrick, and have been Gen.Steiner since the late 1990s and the late, great, BlackOrc.net forums. I have frequented Portent, Warseer, The Conclave, Bolter & Chainsword, Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum, The Lead Adventure Forum and a few other places (sometimes as The_Worker). I used to have a blog ( The Week's Work)which I last updated in 2017. Yeek. I've been wargaming in one form or another since I was about three and have been playing GW games since 1996 (and started collecting GW stuff in 1995). I was only the other day moaning about not being on a forum anymore so I'm looking forwards to this one!

Hi!
I'm Erik and I'm in the hobby since 14 years - I couldn't be much longer, as I'm 24 years old at the time writing this. While getting my masters degree and other forums I participate in will soak up a lot of time, I hope I can become more ore less active here. I started my hobby career with the start of the 7th edition and since I didn't like Dwarves back then I started with Goblins. Took a detour with Vampires (they couldn't run away!), Dark Elves (they were unlikely to run away!), Skaven (just because I got them cheap) and Wood Elves (which I always wanted to play but my brother did...long story short he didn't want to play anymore and now I got an army). But my first love remained and I now am an avid collector of everything green. In terms of Middlehammer archievements I actually managed to get all miniatures from the 7th edition together. Aaaah... sweet nostalgia - sadly I haven't painted a lot of them.
Lately I was asked to make a website for a FLGS, and just for practice I started a blog on collecting Greenskins. I guess it got out of hand and I compiled a company list of now 108 manufacturers of the little gits. And those are just the ones that are still producing AND replied to me in some way when I asked for permission to use the pictures.
Since everyone else does it, even if it may not be too interesting in my case: I mostly use the nickname Fuxxx in the German forums I'm active in and in the oldhammer forum. I guess my idea of Oldhammer is what most people consider Middlehammer so I might fit in here. The xxx is not meant to be something lewd - I just needed a nickname, my last name resembles fox in German and Fux was to short. I was 12. Would've picked it here too but English websites seem to filter me as spam sometimes if I do and the new one incorporates what I do better even if it's not creative at all.

I'm Albionite - don't like sharing me real name - but I've been at the Warhammer since the distant past of 2007 (when I was but a wee stripling of 10 years, just to terrify some of the auld fellas here). My key area of interest really is Tilea, but for the most part I've had to make do with the Empire and Bretonnia until we were robbed of the latter and lost much of the former, so my gaze has turned to writing my own settings that are inspired in part by Warhammer Fantasy, though infinitely more Baroque and with even more goblins.

Hi I'm Bill. Been painting since 89 or so and playing since 90. Played every edition of WFB up to 8th. When AoS came out I was quite miffed, to put it one way, and went back to my favourite edition, 4th.
I set about collecting my dream army, Chaos Dwarfs and painted up 2000 points. I'm currently working on an Orc and Goblin army. I'll no doubt create a painting log of my progress.

Bryce is my name, i started back in 1996 when i was 14, played undead and vampire counts until 2004 when i branched out into skaven and tomb kings. 7th drove me away and 8th kept me away. Now i have a minimum 3200 (some closer to 20,000) point army of every 6th edition army that had their own book, plus a few of the SoC lists and a dow army. I would say 85% of my stuff is painted, and i have a three table gaming room in my basement with lots of people locally playing 6th. Play at least a game every two weeks. I started a blog as a resource for 6th players to have all the wd and website characters and units in one place: wfb6thcharacters.blogspot.com

Hi, I'm Joost. Been into the hobby since '93 when my brother and I got a starquest set (space crusade) and hooked on the 40k universe ever since. Although I think blood bowl is the best game ever. Recently started to get into Gorkamorka again, Waaaghh. I've painted a rogue trader marine and a tallarn desert raiders army.
